our story

Starlight Cafe was started in downtown Greenville in 2000 by Susan and Alan Boutilier. At the time, we shared a small space with a local bakery. In January 2002, we moved to our current location and our son, Tobias Boutilier, moved here from New Jersey to be our new Executive Chef. In 2008 we expanded to the building next door to accommodate an oyster bar and more bar seating.

In January 2011, after searching for a family farm for several years, we finally found the perfect location: a one hundred year old, 22-acre farm, with barns, fenced pastures and century old trees, just minutes from our restaurant. After being in the restaurant business for 29 years our family dream was finally coming true. The farm includes raising heritage livestock breeds, beekeeping, planting berries and produce, processing pecans and experimenting with different sustainable and organic methods of growing. This project is an exciting one for our family and everyone involved. Our goal is to provide you with fresh, local, seasonal produce from our own farm, while also supporting other local farmers and watermen in our area. We appreciate your business and your support!
